Report writing is much more than using a reporting tool like Business Objects to create tables and charts of data. Developing outputs is all about understanding the local requirements and translating them into efficient and accurate analytics. In order to be a success, these outputs must have a positive impact on the business and contribute to the overall performance of the Authority.

Maximising Potential

The Igneous report writing courses are tailored to meet local requirements and always have ‘real-life’ scenarios at their forefront. Existing software licenses are maximised to their potential and the local users are supported through the maze of skills required to become an experienced and efficient Analyst Developer.

A range of skills are taught during the report writing courses. As well as understanding the tool being used (e.g. Business Objects), the Igneous Consultant will also offer best practice advice and guidance when developing outputs for Social Care departments. For example, how to summarise outputs whilst maintaining clarity for the end user and how to accurately and efficiently understand a user’s requirements.

With a mobile training suite, the training environment is set-up and ready to go in minutes. We bring everything we need to you at no extra cost; all we need is room to seat everyone and the trainer. Alternatively, we have facilities at our offices in Northampton that can also be utilised at no extra cost.

  2. •Training courses available for Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence as well as the new Interactive Viewer product.

  3. •All sessions tailored to meet end user needs in terms of topics, examples and depth of study.

  4. •Many years experience of effective report development in the social care arena.

  5. •Sessions are focused on the end user’s role using real life examples.

  6. •Training can be completed on a fully standalone, fully set-up training suite provided free of charge by Igneous or using local machines and local data sources.

  7. •Specialised experience of Local Government and detailed knowledge of associated legislation .

  8. •Understanding and experience of Social Care Systems including Anite, OLM and Liquid Logic.
